In the early 1960's television booth announcements were all transmitted live and announcers worked 8 hour shifts. WTTG-TV5 was Washington DC's independent station but carried early Dumont network programs. It was owned by Metropolitan Broadcasting (John W Kluge) and was sister station to WNEW-TV New York and KTLA-TV Los Angeles. Later MetroMedia became the corporate name. Today WTTG-TV is the FOX TV affiliate in Washington DC. Here is a live booth audio segment with movie close, break, promos, commercials and intro to next program c.1962.
